The Miller Lite Grand Nationals Division had
some new faces in the field and they put on quite a show as
well. When the Checkers fell in the feature it was Dion
Wahl #77 for the win. Dion held off Terry Van Roy who came home
second, with Scott Houpt #67 hot on his heals. Dan Wirl in
the #84 found him self in the back at one point... but managed
to charge back to grab 4th with a wounded car.
The Coors Light Dirt Devils ran
quite a wild race. With the Spiderman car #71 of David Fisher
finding it's way onto the roof. After the mess was cleaned up,
we seen some great racing. Points leader Loren Rangeloff
went out early. It all came down to a three way
battle for the win. With a grim reaper move, Ron Paulick
Jr. darted from third to first in one swoop. Ron held on for his
second feature win of the season. The Consistent Gordy Lewis in
the #87 grabbed second, followed by Justin Stuck in the
#19.
The Total Power Hobby Stocks were not with out some bumps and
dents in their races either. But it was Greg Steffens in
the #71 that took home the iron from victory lane. He was
followed by Jared Baughman in the 5 leaving third for Marshall
Mullenix in the 51.
The
Street Stocks took to the track for the feature and there was no
lack of destruction in this race either. One of the fan
favorites lost a rear wheel and then collect another racer had
in the rear. It really messed up the 1970 Chevelle of Mark
Schultz. When racing continues it was Gary Neau taking the
win, FW Formiller was banging on the door for the win but had to
settle for second. Scott Solomon in the #33 finished third with
his new paint scheme.
The
Budweiser Mods took to the field last again... It was a hard
fought race... For a while it look like we could have had
the Schultz father & son team placing one and two, but it
was not to be. Joseph Jaeger held off the charge of Dennis
Schultz until the bitter end, on the final lap his #31 puked
it's motor giving Dennis the win. The #1 Budweiser Mod of Scott
Mullen was hot on the heels of Dennis for second. Paul Parker
snatched third from John Schultz who came home fourth.
