When the Budweiser Mods
stormed the track for their feature, fans were hoping for a
clean race without many cautions. But it was not to be...
Although, some hard fought battles took place during the
race. Ryan Besaw took off like a 3 legged Jackrabbit to
lead early. As the race progressed there was a pack of
drivers charging through the field with their eye on Besaw. Some
of the pack were halted by mechanical problems as Ryan
drove his #10 hard to capture his first ever Feature win in a
mod. Dennis Schultz kept up the pursuit but was
forced to settle for second, Paul Parker worked his way from the
back to grab third. The Coors Light Dirt Devils
were wild and crazy too in their feature. When the battle came
to an end it was new comer, Matt Oreskovich in the #75 taking
the win from John Hall #96 who put on a hard charge but fell a
little short. Dave Wilkins in the #222 Purple Monster
streaked through the field to grab third after being punted to
the back during a near wreck early in the race.
The Total Power Hobby Stocks ran another good race... This week
it was Jared Baughman grabbing the win. Greg Steffens took
second, followed by Shane Van Handel. No word if the
Steffens's Crew has a new member yet? I'll try to find out
if she had the baby this week.
When
the American Auto Street Stocks charged out to the track for the
feature... Jerry Winkler was packing the Pink Ricoshay's Tap
Hat. He was given the hat along with the responsibility of
winning for Breast Cancer by last weeks winner Jerry Kope.
The race was fast and wild and when the dust settled indeed it
was Jerry Winkler in the #2 taking the win & getting another
$100 for Breast Cancer from Ricoshay's Tap. David Hoerning in
the #19 took second, with Ken Feavel hot on his heels for third
in the #97.
The Miller Lite Grand National put on another great show, despite
many yellows and even a red flag for a fire in the # 5 car of
Tim Doelhing. When the checkers flew it was Dan Wirl in
the #84 taking the win, He was followed by Adam Pugh in the
#71. After a spin, going down pit lane, & restarting
in the back... Neon Dion in the #77 charged hard through the
field to take home a third place finish.
