The Budweiser Fastrak Late Models took
the track by storm with 19 cars starting the feature.
After a couple of yellows things settled down and when the
checkers flew it was Craig Bartz In the #85 finding Victory
lane for his first time at the Zone. Aaron Wickersheim
#1w nearly drove the wheels off in his chase for the checkers,
but had to settle for second. Joseph Reuter #20 scooped up
third with Bob Schmidt in the #9s hot on his tail for
fourth.
The Coors Light Modifieds started with a
full field of 20 cars. Your Mid-Season Points Champion
had a trying night as he had trashed his main car the night
before down in Iowa, forcing him to run his back up car at the
Zone with little to no success. After the clean up of
the rollover of the #10 of Jay Schraufnagel, it would be the
other #10 taking the checkers, Ryan Besaw 3 wheeling it to
victory for the third time this season I believe. Ben Brinkman
in the Air Force car had Ryan in his sights but ran out of
laps and had to settle for a strong second. Mike Mullen came
home in third, with Mike Mueller #3m knocking at the door for
fourth.
The Total Power Sales Street Stocks
feature went into the books Jeff Jahnke in the 0j grabbing his
first feature race of the season. He was followed by
Shawn Haydon in the #00h for second giving him his best finish
of the season also. Jerry Winkler helped himself out for the
points chase holding on to third and most important many
places ahead of the points leader Jerry Kope in the #4 who
came in 15th.
The Miller Lite Grand Nationals
featured took on a different look with some new faces running
up front. When the checkers waved it was Neon Deon Wahl
in the #77 finding Victory Lane for the first time this
season! Donny Sorce #99 snagged up second, with Scott Houpt
67# bringing it home in Third. Tony Seefeldt #23 held on for
fourth.
The Lynn's
Service Center Dirt Devils again showed fan some great
racing. When the crashing and dust settled if was Nick
Furman #38 pulling off the clean sweep giving him his first
ever feature win. Fourteen year old Al Cottrell in his
#00 hung on for second, with Steve Seehawer #4 coming home
third, just in front of last years champion Ron Paulick Jr. in
the #20
