Drexler Grabs Two Feature Win for a Speedzone First!

The Winnebago County Fair was kicked off with a night of racing, Music, Food and Fun.  As the gates were opening everyone was making those last minute preparations drivers on their cars and fair venders to their temporary homes for the fair.  Being that the race was on Tuesday, fans seen some new cars, as we had a number of drivers come to race from other tracks. There was also another first for the Speedzone. Brian Drexler became the first driver to win to features in two divisions in one night.  Brian won the Street Stock Feature, then jumped into his Mod and went on to win the Modified Feature too.  When the last checkered flag waved, a mishap just past the flagstand ended the night with a hard wreck involving a number of cars, leaving Chris Quaintance #98 knocked out for a spell. After being check out by the paramedics he seemed to be fine.

The Budweiser Fastrak Late Models had a good run and Jeff Curtin in the #11 found his way to Victory lane for the first time this year.  Scott Lewis #6 made a charge at spoiling Curtin's Win, but had to settle in to take second. Tom Naeyaert #9 finished up in third.  

The Coors Light Modifieds started with a full field of 20 cars.  After many cautions and breakage, Brian Drexler stormed to his second Feature win of the night. Shawn Frelich #88 scooped up second with Mike Mullen # 70 taking third.   

The Total Power Sales Street Stocks feature provided some great racing.  When all was said and done, it was Brian Drexler #8 taking the win!  Brian was just ahead of the Cozmic Cowboy Franky Formiller who had a strong second place finish. Scott Besaw came home third in the #14.  

The Miller Lite Grand Nationals feature offered up some good racing and ended with some questions and the finish is under review. 

The Lynn's Service Center Dirt Devils ran a good race again even with the rough track conditions. All but one kept the wheels track side. When the checkers flew, Eddie Lemay #28 was there for the win! Gordy Lewis was not far behind grabbing second, just in front of Tyler Lind #97 who came home third.
