Well
night Two seemed to go a lot smoother... The track is getting
better... Everyone learned a little something. From Mike Rabe to the
Drivers! Some drivers learned the new system for getting the
rigs in faster, Mike Rabe learned about that dry dirt up against the
front wall... He said, fans will never have to endure dust like that
again. I had said, you would have a new story writer this
week... But he had a family emergency so he will start this coming
week. Yesterday, Saturday... we put together the talents of some
of the racers and some professionals that support and enjoy the
Speedzone. We were facing a big task! We meet at the Zone
at 10:00 am to hang the new scoreboard. Everyone pitched in and
by the time the Sun was setting... The scoreboard was casting a big
shadow in turn three. I would like to take this opportunity to
say Thank You, Big Time, to all that made the long awaited scoreboard
reality. Thanks to the two companies that made it possible with
there sponsorship of the board. Shore View Lanes of Oshkosh and Miller
Beer - General Beer Northeast. I would like to give a special
thanks to some others that helped in the installation, Tim
Reichenberger, Jeff Lechnir, Dennis & Russ Schultz, Jerry Kope,
Matt Wirl, Donny Herman - Jim's Towing, Dan Schneider, Walter Payne,
and all the others that may have slipped my mind. You all did a
Super Job... Great thing always happen when you put the talents of
racers together!
We hope you all will come out this week for the Ricoshay's Rumble...
to see the new scoreboard. One thing we did for the drivers this
year was put up a big tip jar of sorts. It's located at the top
of the grandstand stairs. With gas at today's prices it's really
taking a toll on the drivers. So if you like the show they put
on for you... drop a buck or some change in for your favorite
divisions points fund. I know they will appreciate it!
