The Speedzone honored their track champions December 5, 2009
at La Sure’s Banquet hall in Oshkosh.
There were many awards handed
out to drivers and track workers. Kicking
off the night was Hard Luck Award Street Stock driver, Ellie
Wallace. The Sportsmanship Award went to Street Stock driver
Brian Vinney Jr. The A.J. Miller Young Guns Award went to
Grand National Driver Matt Klenz. The Above and Beyond award
went to two drivers this year, Street Stock driver Jerry
Winkler and Grand National Driver Adam Pugh.
Rookie’s of the year went to
Lynn’s Service Center Dirt Devil Driver Jim Rhode, Total
Power Sales Street Stock Driver Andy Gross and Miller Lite
Grand National Driver Daniel Koch.
The Pig Pen Award went to
(FLUFFY) Kyle Boyce, and The Don’t be a Sally went to TJ
Smith. You will have to ask them about their awards.
Track champions were honored in
4 classes; When it comes down to commitment, dedication and
determination these 4 drivers know what is meant by this.
Starting in the Lynn’s
Service Center Dirt Devils was fifth place finishing with 469
points was Cory Wegner, fourth with 473 points was Nick
Everard, third with 501points was, 2008 Champion, Tim
Sheppard, second and rookie was Jim Rhode with 504 points and
your 2009 Track Champion with 508 points was Tony Eveard. They
all fought for the championship right up to the last night.
Your Total Power Sales Street
Stock top 5 are, fifth with 484 points was rookie Andy Gross,
fourth with 492 Jerry Winkler, third with 528 points was Joe
Wittman and with just one point separating these two was
second place with 530 points Shawn Haydon and your 2009 Track
Champion Tim Reichenberger with 531 points.
The top 5 in the Miller Lite
Grand Nationals are, fourth place with 452 points TJ Smith,
fourth place with 458 points Jason Fish. Third place went to
TerryVan Roy with 507 points. Second place went to Brian Henry
with 518 points and your 2009 Track Champion went to Kenny
Richards.
Finally in the Speedzone
Modifieds were; fifth place with 390 points Chris Engels,
fourth with 392 points Jamie Schmidt, third with 407 points
Brian Drexler. Rounding out the top two were, in second place
Mike Klenze with 419 points and your 2009 Track Champion with
457 points was Scott Mullen.
