Oshkosh, WI, FEBRUARY 6, 2012: With just under 90 days until the first race event of the 2012 season at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway track officials and race teams are already preparing for the upcoming season. The track currently has 60 reserved pit stalls which have been selling out quickly. There are a limited number of reserved pit stalls still available for the upcoming season.

Oshkosh, WI, January 31, 2012: Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway opened it's doors in 1999 as the third-mile clay oval roared to life with a Tuesday Night racing program. During it's pivotal first few seasons, the track was sanctioned by International Motor Car Association (IMCA). One of the longest running and most effective short track sanctioning bodies in the nation IMCA sanctioned both the Modified and Stock Car divisions at the raceway through the 2000 season.

February 1st it opens to everyone on a first come first serve basis.

The Speedzone will have a monthly meeting Wednesday February 1, 2012 at OSHKOSH LANES in Oshkosh. The meeting will start at 7:00 pm. Topics of discussion will be pit stalls and the much controversy contact rule.

Doug will be present to talk to and listen to your concerns. We are hoping we can get the scorers, track workers and safety crews there so they can have input also.

The Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway celebrated the 2011 race season with the awards banquet held at the La Sure’s Banquet Hall. With 200 registered guests for the banquet, we ended up with 215 guests.

Drivers, Remember you have until January 31 to get first rights to your front row pit stalls from 2011. After January 31 2012 it will be first come first serve.

Our first drivers meeting of 2012 will be held on January 4 at Oshkosh Lanes. Topics will be contact rule as well as schedule, banquet and the 2012 season.
Time for meeting will be at 7:00pm.

2012 rings in the new schedule for the Speedzone. Many exciting events scheduled, IRA Outlaw Sprints, Badger Modified Tour, WDLMA and the list keeps growing. We are in the process of securing a date for the Traxxis Torc Off-Road Race and more.

2012 looks to be one of the Speedzones best years yet, with the addition of IMCA sanctioning, we are looking for another great year for car counts as well as one of the most competitive dirt racing tracks in the state of Wisconsin.

OSHKOSH, Wis. (Dec. 15) – Looking to build on already solid numbers, Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway will add Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods to its weekly lineup next season.

IMCA points will be awarded at Friday shows starting with opening night May 4 through Aug. 31. Several Tuesday programs on the 1/3-mile dirt oval are also to be announced for 2012.
