The Oshkosh Speedzone will have its final practice for the 2012 race season on Tuesday September 4th.

Promoter Larry Stratton said that we wanted a practice before our 2 day special so drivers that are not use to the track can have a chance to take to the fast 1/3 mile clay oval before they race or maybe shake down their car.

Pit gates will open at 4:00 pm, practice will start at 5:00 pm and run until dusk. Cost to the pit area is just $15.00 per person.

August 31, 2012; OSHKOSH, WI – Unlike the 2011 season where championships were decided by Mother Nature and a rain out on the final night of racing, the 2012 titles in all five weekly divisions were settled on the track with several champions being determined only when the final checked flag fell. In total 101 cars checked into the pit area capping a season where the car count had never dipped below 100 on a regular race night setting a new record for the track.

AUGUST 27, 2012; OSHKOSH, WI – It has been a season of hard fought battles and wheel to wheel racing action with the goal of reaching victory lane. The competition has been tough as record car counts have been tallied in multiple divisions. All summer long, competitors in each of the five weekly classes at Oshkosh Speedzone have been racking up the points and aiming to rank as high as possible for a shot at the season title. They have raced for a chance to sit at the top of the point standings after the final checkered flag flies and be called….champion!

Baker’s Last Lap Pass Nets Back to Back Victories in Street Stock Action!

August 24, 2012; OSHKOSH, WI – The Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway concluded it’s “Need for Speed” Week with an appearance by the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series thanks to generous support by event sponsor Budweiser. The week was dedicated to bringing the fastest cars in the state to the third-mile clay oval and it concluded tonight with the appearance of the Winged Outlaw 410 Sprints which gave fans a chance to witness the fastest cars on dirt. Turning in laps under the 13 second mark the drivers of these machines once again provided proof they are the fastest cars to sling clay.

August 22, 2012; McHenry, IL – The stars of the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series will head to Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin Friday evening August 24. The program will wrap up the raceway’s “Need for Speed” week which featured some of the fastest cars on dirt.

However it will be the Friday Night program and the appearance of the 900 horsepower winged outlaw sprints that will test the true limits of velocity at the third-mile clay oval known as “The Zone”. Simply put, the machines are THE fastest racing machines on dirt.

August 17, 2012; OSHKOSH, WI – Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway would show it’s appreciation to its loyal fans with free steamed corn on the cob, soda and beer after an exciting racing program that once again proved why the raceway has become known as “Wisconsin’s Modified Action Track!”.

AUGUST 11, 2012; OSHKOSH, WI – The nights are getting a little cooler, the days are getting a little shorter and the point championships are wrapping up at area short tracks. It can mean only one thing.

The “Specials Season” is about to begin.

Hosting one of the first of the post season special events in the area, Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway will see some tweaks to its popular Fall Classic Weekend. This year’s Fall Classic will take place on Friday Night September 7th and Saturday Afternoon September 8th. The rain date if needed will be Sunday Afternoon September 9th.

AUGUST 10, 2012; OSHKOSH, WI – The 2012 season has been a successful one at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway. Outstanding competition has led to a solid turnout of loyal fans each and every week. Officials at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway would like to thank it’s fans for their loyal support this season with “Fan Appreciation Night” on August 17th.

The Gladiator Racing Series is set to visit the Oshkosh Speedzone on Sunday August 26th with over 400 laps of side by side action planned. Pit gates will open at 9:30 am, with practice at 10 am. The grandstands will open at noon with admission for adults only $7, Children get in FREE and Race action begins at 1pm.

AUGUST 7, 2012; OSHKOSH, WI – There was no shortage of headlines on Tuesday evening at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway and it all began with the first appearance of racing during the Winnebago County Fair after a couple year absence. Attendees with a fair general admission ticket were admitted free to the evening’s racing events which made for a good crowd at the third-mile clay oval.
