Oshkosh, WI, April 28, 2012: It was a cold and cloudy afternoon, but well over 50 drivers entered the Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway pit area for the last shakedown before the start of the 2012 season. While many of the area tracks had to cancel their planed evening race programs, rain avoided the Speedzone's third-mile clay oval and a full four hour testing session was completed as planned.

Practice is still on for today, April 28th, 2012 at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway. Gates Open at 11AM, Practice at Noon. Pit Admission is $15. Track is in great condition.

Oshkosh, WI, April 24, 2012: In less than two weeks, the 2012 racing season at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway will get underway and before the first green flag falls 54 drivers are tied atop the standings.

Oshkosh, WI, April 21, 2012: It was an afternoon that has been awaited for nearly six months as racing machines finally took to the track in anticipation of the season ahead at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway.

Oshkosh, WI, April 15, 2012: It has been a long six months since the roar of racing engines was last heard at the Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway. But that's soon to change as a pair of pre-season practice sessions will allow drivers to shake down their machinery in anticipation of the 2012 racing season.

A mild spring had allowed track officials to prepare the grounds and the raceway for the season ahead with many projects running well ahead of schedule. The track has also been prepared and is basically in "race ready" condition for the season ahead.

Oshkosh, WI, April 14, 2012: On a sunny summer-like afternoon fans got a preview of the racing machines which will take to the track at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway this season as nearly 20 cars turned out dressed in their 2012 season colors. Held at the Lowe's Home Improvement Store in Oshkosh the day featured a multi-purpose community event with hundreds of people visiting the displays on hand. The Oshkosh Speedzone Car show proved to be a major attraction which also included displays to support Habitat for Humanity and attendees also witnessed public service demonstrations and children's activities. WXMM 92.9fm Country Radio which is the sponsor of the season opening Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway event on May 4th was also on hand.
The car show portion of the event featured cars representing all five classes which compete weekly at the nearly 1/3 mile Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway. The largest turnout took place in the Total Power Sales Street Stock division.

Oshkosh, WI, April 9, 2012: Fans wanting ahead start of the 2012 racing season are invited to attend the annual Oshkosh Speedzone Car Show this Saturday, April 14th. This year's event will be held at a new location as Lowe's Home Improvements teams up with the Speedzone for a special day of activity for the whole family at the Lowe's Oshkosh location at 1075 North Washburn Street in Oshkosh, WI. Those attending the show that are traveling on Highway 41 to arrive at the location are encouraged to use the 9th Street exit and then travel north on Washburn Street to arrive at Lowe's.

OSHKOSH, WI, MARCH 24, 2012: Modified Madness will be the cure for fans of the open-wheeled race cars, as Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway is working to establish itself as the top Modified track in the Midwest.

An early arriving spring had fans and drivers alike looking forward to an action packed season ahead at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway. The tracks first race event of the 2012 season will take place on Friday Night May 4th as WXMM 92.9fm will present the five division program which will feature in excess of 120 cars.

(OSHKOSH, WI) March 26 – The Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway's management team have decided to move the starting time to 7:00 pm.

With all the construction going on and drivers traveling we felt it was vital to the Speedzone's success to move the start time to 7:00 pm said Competition Director Bernie Baye, The late cut off was at 6:00 pm which we will move to 6:15 pm. This should give drivers more time to travel as well as the fans. By starting at a later time will also give us more time to get prepared in the pit area as well as the track.
