The staff of the Oshkosh Speedzone would like to send out an apology for the tardiness of the IRA Outlaw show held August 27, 2010.

There were multiple factors that led to this tardiness that will not happen in the future. We are taking steps to correct what happened last night to make sure this does not happen in the future.

We hope that this does not tarnish the reputation that the Speedzone has worked so diligently to accomplish.

The Oshkosh Speedzone has made the decision to add the Modifieds to the IRA Outlaw Sprint Car Shows for the balance of 2010. With the amount of rainouts that we have had, we felt that by adding the Modifieds would give the Modifieds a couple of more point’s nights and also give them more exposure.

The remaining schedule will be as follows;

Total Power Sales Street Stocks
On track introductions brought the field to the front stretch to begin the Total Power Sales Street Stock feature event. Andy Gross would use his Pole Position to perfection as he grabbed the early lead before a lap two caution involving 4 cars in corner three. Gross would take the lead on the restart with point leader Shawn Haydon giving chase. Another caution would fly with ten to go as Gross continued to lead Haydon. Further back Jeff Jungwirth was moving forward after starting the race in the back of the pack.

Yellow would fly again this time causing the race to be checkered for time. Gross, would pick up the win with Haydon and Travis Grissman in the top three.

Total Power Sales Street Stocks
Always a great night at the track is the LeRoy Dehn Memorial night which means a special 22 lap Street Stock feature. This night would bring back the excitement of Street Stock racing as Jeff Wicinsky took to the point early in the event. Jerry Winkler would use a an inside move to grab the lead on lap four and try to get away from Shawn Haydon who had grabbed second. Jerry Winkler would have hold off Haydon lap after lap as all Haydon could do is get to Winkler’s bumper. The top two cars would build a lead of nearly half the track over the third place car of Wicinsky. Winkler would grab the win with Haydon, Wicinsky, Travis Grissman and Gordy Lewis
