Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway finally returned to action after losing the battle against Mother Nature the past few weeks. Joining the action for the first time in 2010 would be the Legends division. The racing action was fast and smooth as the night saw very few caution flags in the heat and B main races.
What started out to be a rainy day with gorgeous sun all afternoon finished with rain.
The Oshkosh Speedzone's staff diligently worked to get the pit area ready for the high powered IRA Outlaw Sprints but to no avail Mother Nature prevailed.
Mike Rabe Trucking, the track crew, called in the big boys when he pulled in the dozers and his big packing trucks to try to get the pits back in shape. Mike tried but when all said and done Mother Nature kicked our butts.

Friday night was the beginning of the Memorial Day weekend where things much larger than racing take the green flag in our minds. Due to the abundance of rain throughout the week, the races have been cancelled for tonight, May 14th.
The day started out wet and gloomy and ended dry and sunny. The Oshkosh Speedzone held their season opening practice. With the rain that fell on Friday, over an inch, hopes of a practice was dim. The track prep crew, Mike Rabe Construction and Trucking, suggested we put the pit area in the main parking lot and they would work on getting the track ready for practice. So the practice was on, and for many drivers this was going to be their only chance to shake the bugs out of their cars.
The weather was breezy and chilly for the 2010 car show at the Outlet Shoppes at Oshkosh. But that didn't keep fans away from checking out all the new cars and paint schemes of their favorite drivers cars. Trophies were awarded to 4 that came out to display their cars.
Opening night is just around the corner, don't miss the WAPL Rockin' Apple Clash & CitizansFirst members night. CitizensFirst Members can use the 2-1 admission tickets to start the season off with savings...
