The Oshkosh Speedzone regrets to inform everyone that long time flagman, Mark Winter, has decided to hang up his flags. Mark says that his decision to retire is that he wants to spend more time with his family. Mark will be spending the weekends camping with his wife and kids. The Winters’ this past year had bought a camping trailer and wants to explore the outdoors. Mark will continue to make up radio commercials as well as any other audio or video that the Speedzone may need.
The new flagman has over 20 years experience in flagging races. He has flagged in the past at Manitowoc, Luxemburg, Sturgeon Bay, Seymour Tri-Oval and the Speedzone when the track originally opened back in 1999.
The Oshkosh Speedzone would like to welcome to the flag tower for the 2011 race season, Doug Vanden Langenberg.
Also new for the 2011 race season, we would like to welcome Jeff Saches to the Speedzone family. Jeff was the founder of Racingonline as well as working with Stewert Doty with the RPM Workshops in Reno and Daytona. The RPM workshops host informational meetings twice a year, December and February during Speedweek in Daytona. Race track promoters from throughout the world attend these workshops to help grow their tracks. Jeff’s responsibilities will consist of writing weekly press releases, advertising, and setting up new markets in media for the Speedzone as well as many other duties.
Join us as we welcome Doug and Jeff to the Speedzone Family.
